Gift Aid – Make your money go further!
Gift Aid is one of the easiest ways to make your donation tax effective. We are able to claim back extra money – which you have already paid in tax – from HM Revenue and Customs. So for each £1 you donate we are able to claim 25p. Therefore you give £1 but we recieve £1.25. There is no extra cost to you and the process is simple – all you have to do is make a download and send us a Gift Aid Declaration [PDF / 285.12 kB].

So, Gift Aid comes out of tax which I have already paid?
Yes, for every £1 you donate to Holy Cross Centre Trust in a financial year (from 6 April to 5 April of the following year), you must have paid 25p in Income or Capital Gains Tax in the same financial year to qualify for Gift Aid.
If you have made a Gift Aid declaration we ask that you let us know if you cease to pay enough Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount we will claim from HM Revenue and Customs on the donations you make.
We also ask that you let us know if you change your name and/or address.
Leaving a legacy
Why leave a legacy to HCCT?
Making a will ensures peace of mind, because you know that the people and causes that you care about will be provided for. By leaving a legacy to HCCT in your will, you will help the fight to see an end to poverty isolation in the future.
How to leave a legacy to HCCT
If you already have a will, you can simply ask your solicitor to add to it – this is called a codicil.
You can either choose to give a specific amount or ask that HCCT is given a proportion of whatever money is left after all your other wishes have been provided for.
If you do leave a legacy, it is important that the wording is correct so the legacy goes to where you intended it, so please do contact us to confirm this, using the contact information on the right.
If you decide to support HCCT in this very special way, it would help us enormously to plan our future activities if you informed us that you have included HCCT in your Will. Please consider letting us know by contacting us at the address shown on the right.
Thank you so much for your generous support.
